CSC I-485 Approvals doubled between April and May

I've been watching the data at www.immigrationwatch.com. In April, CSC approved 72 I-485 cases. In May, they approved 137 I-485 cases.

Our approval thread is pretty much bang on target as far as approval data is concerned. And it does confirm the speed up. But the bottom line is that no matter that INS has started approving a few more cases than before it is still not enough to reduce backlog until the speed is doubled yet again.

How does immigrationwatch.com collect data?

Immigration Watch's numbers are a very weak sampling. We shouldn't be reading too much into it. Monthly numbers published BY CIS are the best indicators. Our tracker seems to be a fairly good indicator for petitons filed in 2002

Agreed, the numbers would pretty much need to double each month for several months until they get within the holy-grail '6 month' timeframe. Weird, if they keep doubling each month, they'd eventually be processing applications before they even received them...
