CSC Date changes-Dramatic

I filed NIW on Aug 13 2003.
Earlier the on-line status was 360-450 days, then it changed recently to 270-300 days, then again it changed in the last 2-3 days to 360-360 days.
I don't know whether this is a good thing or bad thing.
I am new to this forum and never enquired about the petition status so far. I did not even call my lawyer.

I would appreciate if someone could suggest some course of action for me under the given situation.

I am also in the same boat. RD Aug 20 2003. I guess I can not ask for a case status update until the processing dates are past Sep 20 2003. Stay in touch if you have any updates.
