CSC bad news!

Hi There everyone. For everyone waiting for CSC I-485 approval (including myself)I have some bad news. I have been informed that the reason that the CSC dates are not moving forward is that on reviewing already approved GCs they found that some of the background checks were not completed properly. They are endeavouring to go through them all and make sure that no undesirables were approved by mistake. They (CSC) anticipate that new I-485 approvals will not be looked at until OCTOBER at the earliest!!!!!!!

If its true, then it may be one more stupid excuse from BCIS.

Chat User : I-485 was filed December 2001. How long do you think it will take BCIS to approve this case?

Attorney Murthy : Depending on which service center, most of them are processing September / October or November 2001 cases, so hopefully in about 3 months or so your case should be approved, unless they issue an RFE or schedule it for an interview with the local BCIS office.
 
sorry to confuse u guys but as far as the source of this info, i think i clearly mentioned that someone posted this on murthy forum.
 
I don't know what to believe. But if there is a hope then I am willing to cash in.
If gondi's post is true then why is CSC still approving? I know mine isn't approved but then I did congratulate a lot of others who did.
 
Actually, I got the same infomation from my lawyer. CSC is indeed going through all of the cases looking for undesirables. And the October date is also the one given to myself. Maybe another BCIS excuse, but this is where we are nonetheless.

On the grand scheme of things is this really that important??
 
Doesnt make sense the people going through the older cases need not be the ones approving the new ones. Also I find it hard to believe given the snails pace at which they aprroved there are many cases to look at anyway. So its like a circus of excuses if its true.
 
Sounds like the BCIS guys may get a lot of ideas from us here for excuses not to process 485s!!

Exactly my sentiments. Maybe this is just BCIS way of getting us and AILA off thier backs for a couple of months while they continue to process nothing.
 
May be, we should open a thread with a heading, something like
CSC rumors or
Stupid excuses by BCIS (CSC) blah blah yada yada yada etc and have everyone post the rumors/info/news there.

On the second thought, if CSC go thru that thread, they may get some ideas from there :)

This waiting sucks and making me mad. I may have to see a shrink if my 485 doesnt get approved soon.:confused:
