My consular process is in progress and my papers are at Mumbai consulate. Because my priority f\date is Sept. 2003. I am having to wait. In the mean time I am working in Canada and left US about 2 and half years ago. Lately I went to the US embassy in Canada and applied for a tourist visa. In my application I clearly mentioned about my green card process and the officer also pulled up my entire all my info and asked me about it. When he asked me why I wanted to go there I told him that I wanted to see my old friends as I spent almost 6 years over there. The officer smiled and gave me multiple entry visa for 10 years. I am planning to go to the states next week but now couple of my friends told me that it can have negative impact on my green card. Although rationally I don’t understand why but I wonder if any gurus here would know anything about it or if anyone have any personal experience about it. Will appreciate your time.
On a different note, any idea when sept. 2003 will be current? Maybe 6 more months?
