Please advise what is the criteria to send Biometrics code 2 notice to I-485 applicant.

Today I had Biometrics done at Detroit ASC.

Your feedback is appreciated.

There is no real logic behind it.
Much like the FP notices of old times -- just one more step in the process that needs to be completed.

It used to mean approval a while back -- but these days everyone is getting a Code 2 notice - doesn't seem to mean much now.
 
Did you file EAD or AP Application recently? I received Biometrics notice immidiatly after filing 3rd EAD/AP... There may be some connection as the EAD has finger print on it..
