Criminal conviction !!.
I have a similar situation like yours. I couldn't get a TRP ( temporary resident Visa) to get into Canada. However, I heard security-background check from Canada takes less time than doing the same thing from India.
If any body has any conviction record, in India it normally takes 6-8 weeks, however, in Canada , I was told it just takes 2 days. However, the hurdle is in getting the Canada Visa with a conviction. Each conviction is different and people should seek advice of criminal immigration attorney in this matter.
