Crewmember (D) Visa holder wants to get married in the USA

Hello all,

I am an international flight attendant who is here in the US under a crewmember (D) Visa. My boyfriend of more than 5 years is a green card holder living in the US. We finally decided to take the big step of getting married next week. We will then apply for a family based green card for me (once I leave the United States). My question is, would we get in any trouble for getting married while I'm here on a D visa? We are both unsure if us getting married under these circumstances will cause any problems when we apply for the green card.

You would be fine as long as you do not give false information at the entry.
Since you won't be changing status in the US, everything should be fine.
