Hi, everybody!

I have a question. if anybody heard about a similar situation please let me know.

My I-485 petition was approved six months ago in September 2004. I did passport stamping and completed I-89 form at the nearest Disctrict Office later the same month.

Since I have yet to receive the physical green card, I initiated an inquiry at the California Service Center by sending them the g731c form in January. Finally I received a reply a couple of days ago. It says:

"Your card was relocated to the District Office. Please direct all further inquiries to the office.

You will need to complete an I-89 ADIT Processing card. You mus appear in person with your passport and two recent passport style photographs at the nearest UCSIS Disctrict Office."

Your comments will be most appreciated. Thanks!

Seems to me that your local DO has not submitted the completed I-89 ADIT Processing Card back to Nebraska.

I suggest you schedule an info pass and you inquire about your I-89 form at the local DO. Nebraska is essentially telling you that they have transfered the processing of your greencard over to the local DO. I know that Nebraska will not order the plastic card until they get a completed I-89 form back from the DO.

Hope this makes sense.
