My wife is on F1 status, her I-485 application was filed while she was on F1. Subsequently she has received her 485 based EAD, but we have not used it yet so as not to 'touch the current F1 status' (I am aware it is a gray area).
Now we are contemplating a summer internship, would it be advisable for her to do it through a CPT? Would it be an issue since her I-485 is still pending?
