Hi all!

I would really appreciate your opinions and advice on the following:

I'm a DV09 winner, EU19XXX. Currently in the US on F1, graduating next May, applying to grad school. I was thinking of going for AOS, the problem: my passport is expiring! How big of a deal is it in applying for adjustment of status nonimmigrant to immigrant?
How common is it to go for CP (where I can go back - get a new passport - go for my interview - get back to start grad school?) while already present in the US? does it matter?
I'm buffled, please, lend me your advice and thoughts on this...

cant you get new passport first before doing AOS. based on your CN, your process won't start until probably Jan/feb next year. But since AOS can be lengthy process sometimes, going back to do CP would be fastest option, get new passport then CP interview..as longas you have maintained legal status here in US, no reason your visa would be denied in CP interview.
