Me & my wife are US citizens (based in CA) and are in the process of figuring out whether to do CP or AOS for our parents for sponsoring their green cards. We would prefer an option which takes less amount of time.
Are there any recent experiences where someone has info on the end-to-end (between filing I-130 and GC approval) time that it takes in California for CP vs. AOS? Any info/pointers will be greatly appreciated.
Are there are any other issues that one needs to be aware of during GC processing for parents (either CP or AOS)?
One final question, once parents become US green card holders, are they eligible for any federal/state medical insurance benefits (such as Medical, Medicare etc.?) Or do we need to purchase their insurance separately from a private party.
