CP to AOS - Papers pending in NVC

Converted CP to AOS. Filed I-485 in VSC with the following information.

RD: 12/10/2001
ND: 12/17/2001
EAD: Waiting
FP: Waiting

I called the National Visa Center to check whether my papers were return to VSC. Using the NVC and VSC case number, the AVM says that they were notified of the intention to change status here in the US and that "THEY ARE WAITING FOR INS INSTRUCTION TO SEND THE APPLICATION BACK". It seems my papers are still in NVC\'s hands.

Will this affect my EAD & FP process? I noticed that some people with Notice Dates later than mine already received their EAD and some even their FP Notice. What should I do to expedite the transfer of my paper to VSC? Anyone who has the same experience?

dont worry. mine was also for CP then AOS. i got the EAD in time - of course with a photo RFE. the nvc message is standard and somebody had indicated on this forum that the original 140 stays with INS and only a copy goes to NVC. just wait for a few days.
