CP to AOS and then again CP...

If I-140 was approved for CP but initiated AOS (I-485); and now if CP is to be pursued, how can one do that? I-824 should not be necessary as I-140 was anyway approved for CP. Any ideas / suggestions ? Can one go for CP and the family members still pursue AOS?

This is a new whim I am "working" on for my case! Mine is a Feb/2002 RD case and expect local transfer in NYC because of NIW-based I-140. So considering recent delays plus 6-8 more months for interview makes me think about reconsidering CP if not too many complications are involved.

Thank you.

Jigesh...

Lawyers would be the best to contact for this as I am sure not many might have done this. But it looks like a good thought......my lawyer told me I should expect for myself around April-May and I got disappointed but now I feel that I would be lucky if I get it by that time also.

Thank you 485GCCase for your thoughts..

So far I did everything (I-140 as well as I-485, EAD, AP, ..) without any lawyer (and without sponsorship of any company) but it seems that this is a complex issue and I might need one if I really go for CP again.

Thanks.
