CP separate applications?

I filed separate I-130s for my father and mother with CP option checked (US citizen sponsoring parents) and recently both of them were approved and sent to NVC. Now my question is will NVC create two cases and assign case numbers and process them as two different cases (with separate timelines)? I would prefer if my mother is included as derivative beneficiary in my father's case so both get processed together. So, should I just ignore my mother's case number and include my mother in my father's case applications?
THanks in advance for your replies.

You might get a more knowledgeable reply in "Family Based Category" forum - this one is for employment based category.

I am inclined to believe that two separate I-130s means two separate cases and NVC/consulate will process them separately. You can NOT include your mother as derivative beneficiary of your father because she is not (your father did not sponsor her - you filed I-130 for her). So don't ignore your mother's case number as you hinted!

Best wishes,

Jigesh
