Hi
I might be having my CP interview in another 3-4 months. I have the following questions on CP. Can someone please answer them?

1) I might possibly have to land in a DIFFERENT Port Of Entry(in the west coast) than the one closest to my office (east coast). Will this cause any issues at POE and if so what are the things that I should be concerned about.
2)After my Pkt3 is sent to the consulate from NVC. Why does the Consulate take 2 -3 months to schedule an interview? Do they perform any ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS and if so, is anyone familiar about it.

Thanks

{No problem with this. You can explain that, it was the best deal you could get considering the need to book the air tickets with a very short notice.}

{I am just guessing. This could be because of the case load and some
administrative issues}

Thanks

1) Will the INS officer be concerned about why there is different POE's and if so what wuold be the best favourable way to handle it. Do you thnk by me saying that it was the good deal I could get , (s)he would be convinced?
2)What TYPES of ADMINISTRATIVE THINGS do they do at the consulate?

Please let me know based on your experience.

Q1. It is impossible to speculate on the mindset of an officer at POE. But as far I know, POE has not been an issue because entering at one POE does not necessarily mean that you will end up residing in that city. One may even have the ticket or boarding pass for the onward journey to prove the ultimate destination.

Q2.
There are numerous threads that discuss these : http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?p=1043971#post1043971

I concur with the above. If you want to worry about things , I'm sure there are better things than Job east coast - POE west coast.
