CP question...

Hi there,

Please forgive me if my question is not directly related to this forum. I tired get an answer from folks in Consular processing forum, but nobody would care to give me an answer. So here is my question:

Is it possible for a Canadian PR (Indian citizen) or landed immigrant to go for consular processing to obtain U.S. green card in Canada while working in U.S. on H-1B?

Or

He or She has to go to India for CP?

Another thought: Someone indicated to me that a Canadian permanent resident can request CP at a Canadian post, but Canadian post may redirect your application to your native country if they have heavy workload.....Is it true??

Thanks,

RamFan

To my understanding: If Canada was the your last domicile or you really were living in Canada, then you may request that. I personally think that its worth a shot but its likely that if you didnt stay there for that long,,, you will be directed to your native country. I am also Canadian PR but never stayed there more than 7 days. My opinion is what I was told by my company lawer.
