Hi All,
I would like to thank all the CP candidates for writing down their interview experience in detail.
I have opted for CP and will be applying for my I-140 shortly.I came to US in 1998 on H1-B and my finance in 97 on F1 visa.Due to some circumstances we had to get married.Since we were new to this country, we were not aware of first getting the marriage license and then registering the marriage.
All this time we filed our taxes as being married but filing separetely.Since i was in the process of GC, my lawyer told me that i will be needing the marriage certificate.Based on his advice, we got our marriage registered last year, by obtaining the license and marrying in court again.We had our baby last year.
Will this cause a problem during CP interview.Any adivce is appreciated.
