CP question: the address to which the card is sent?

Hi,

When do you need to provide the address to which the physical green card would be sent to during the CP process? Can you use friend's address in another city for that?
Our lease is expiring and we need to move soon. Would it cause any problem along the way?

You would normally need to give it in P3, form DS230-1. If yo definetly want to go to a friend's place, there's an alternate address field out there.

Also at the time of the interview you can ask them to update the address on 230-1 or at the port of entry.

Could it potentially cause a problem? Like they would suspect validity of your own addr., etc.?

I doubt it. I don't think they are concerned with where you stay. They will be more conerned with your legal status.
