CP Question regarding Spouse, URGENT

Hi CP Gurus,

Please Help me, just got married in India. Came back to US and my wife is in India. Planning to get her via CP.
Got my I140 and planning for AC140 in Mumbai Consulate.

Question
1) Will there be any problem to get my wife to US via CP, or should i bring her to US on H4 first and then process CP.

2) what are the documents needed for my wife to the CP Process.

3) what is the time frame i am looking for the interview, if i apply for I824 on Feb 10th, 2003?

4) Is there any documents to be send with I824 form and fees?

5) should i wait for I824 approval or should i apply with only the receipt for AC140 process in Mumbai Consulate?

Please do reply me asap CP Gurus, i really appreciate the help.

-- As for as I know there shouldn't be any problem. I am planning to do the same (though through Chennai Consulate)--

-- All the documents mentioned in the CP column of www.immihelp.com and your marriage certifcate and your name should be added as a spouse in your wife's passort (which is a simple day's work at the passport office. If you wish your wife could get her maiden name changed and obtain the new passport too. ) --


3) what is the time frame i am looking for the interview, if i apply for I824 on Feb 10th, 2003?

-- Since you are filing in Mumbai, you would be eligible for AC-140. So in 3-4 weeks you should get your I-824 receipt and then I would say you could expect the interview to be in 4-6 months max. Again this is just my guess.--

4) Is there any documents to be send with I824 form and fees?

-- Nothing in particular. Your lawyer should take care of it.--


5) should i wait for I824 approval or should i apply with only the receipt for AC140 process in Mumbai Consulate?

-- Check with the Mumbai consualte. Usually mumbai accpets AC-140 with I-824 recipt. --
