CP Processing Question

Hi

I have applied for I-140 with Consular processing option. Once I-140 comes through do I have to wait for I-824 to be approved. I read in forum that it takes about a year for that. In that case how is CP faster than AOS.

Since you have originally opted for CP in your I-140 application you will not need to file I-824 after I-140 approval. I-824 is a form for those folks who have originally opted for AOS/ 485 and who now want to change to CP.

In short, this form is not applicable to you!!
