CP Process in Montreal, Canada-- Please Response

I have just returned from Montreal, Canada after CP interview at US Consulate. Interview was went very well. After signing form 230 part II consular officer told me that I have to wait until additional administration process is complete under the Immigration and nationality act 221(g). Is this means that they are doing our name check verifications? Do anyone knows how long it will take to complete this administrative process?

My I-140 approved in June last year. Since I do not have my EAD card and I have consulated this matter with an immigration lawyer to submit I-485 and I was advised that I could file I-485 while additional admisnitrative process is going on. Please advise if you have encountered this situation before. Your immediate response would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

I was born in Bangladesh, I am a Canadian citizen and entitled to go for CP process in Montreal. Please response. Thanks,

I think ,there will not be any problem.You know now days there taking advantage of name ,religion and country of birth.It might take 6 to 8 weeks.
You do not need to worry.if possible could you please post your experiance at montreal.I am also expecting in Montreal.Or send it as a personel message.

Is there any phone number to make an inquiry about this "Additional Administrative Process" rather than Montreal consulate? CP interview

I also went to Montreal, Canada after CP interview (IMMIGRANT VISA) at US Consulate. Interview went fine. Signed form 230 part II index finger. Officer gave 221g form wanted one more document, took passports and said will take 1 - 2 weeks. I faxed it 3 weeks ago. Have not recieved anything yet. Does anyone knows how long it will takes?

finally got the passports with the stamp from cp montreal
went interview 1st week of May
sent some docs 2nd week
waited 3 weeks nothing in the mail
called they wanted orig which were sent 1st week of jun
waited waited got them today
thanks
