In short do CP if you and other candidates on your gc application meet all three criteria:
* Your job is secured through the time of I-140 approval and until CP interview
* Neither you nor any other applicants have a criminal / illegal background from the past such as police records or been out-of-status
* Neither you nor any other applicants have contagious disease that can result into an epidemic
Questions that will help us advice you:
1. What stage in gc are you at?
2. What consulate would you fall under?
3. What category is your gc filed under?
4. What service center and when was your I-140 filed?
Got th e following reply from cp_vs_i485 in a private message:

Reply to cp_vs_i485:
As mentioned in the earlier posting...refer cptracker.com for detailed steps towards cp interview from the point of I-140 approval. And for most consulates the geneal rule of thumb is one gets cp interview within 6-12 months depending on the work load the your consulate if you have any specific question during your cp process fell free topost on this site and one of us will be able to answer your queries..
Just to highlight main points:
* Out-of-status exceeding 180 days is definitely a red flag. ESpecially a 15 days out-of-staus is too little and i am guessing you could convince it was a genuine mistake or something along those lines.
* And frankly speaking it is too small a thing to worry about. The consular officers are worried about bigger offenses and more than likely it will either be overlooked (higher chance) or forgiven if it comes up if you explain well that it was only by 2 weeks and otherwise you and your wfe has a clean record.
* On that same note, god forbid if it comes up and is a reason for rejection (which i hope not and dont think will happen), I would appeal to be escalated to the vice consular/ consular level which is your right and only option.
