Hi Guyz, I recently got my labor approval (EB2) with PD as Aug 2004. I was wondering if I should go for CP or I-485 ? My wife plans to file for her H1 next year and I was wondering if my decision to file CP or I-485 would affect her as she is listed on my GC application

I know according to the Aug bulletin, EB2 category has no dates.....Is that going to change on Oct 1 when they release new numbers?

Based on my priority date, can I get my EAD or GC by Aug 2007?

I will appreciate your replies.

CP or I-485

Buddy!

I had same question few months ago. My conclusion, go for CP and my attorney hinted that it is possible to switch to AOS later if need be ( how sure ... can't predict). CP get's u to ur dream faster, but for Indians their is PD based apointment system and is applicable to both CP and AOS.

Assume you have already filed for I-140. And my re-collection is that uptill I-485 or CP stage their is no mention of spouse. Only when the PD becomes current, you need to mention about spouse.

When is PD gonna be current ... not even God knows!. Things were flying fine till march this year and than on it had been stagnant. Even if it opens it ain't gonna move further than July 03. So Hang in their pal.

CP from Canada

friends,
I am Indian citizen, landed immigrant in Canada( May 2006 ) living in canada commuting 4 days in a week to work in USA. I am on h1b 7th year extension. Applied GC - EB3. PD is april 2004.

I am thinking and planning to get Canadian citizenship first, then GC too. I heard that canadian and U.S.A green cards can not be kept at same time.
Please suggest How can I delay the GC process ( EB3 RIR PD - April 2004), so that I can get Canadian Citizenship before.

3. What are my chances that I get GC processed earlier than my Canadian citizenship. I heard that 140 can not be delayed now. Also what are my chances that CP could be delayed.?
Please suggest all the possible ways....
