CP or AOS ?

In the current scenario, if I am filing for I-140 in california, what would be the better option CP or AOS ? I knew CP used to take lesser time than AOS.

But with the new law of "Concurrent Filing of I-140 & 485, do you guys still think CP will be faster ?

Any valuable input is highly appreciated.

That depends on the situation

If you have the hope that your I-140 petition will be cleared in X months , add 2 months for NVC processing and 3-4 months to get the CP interview. That means you can attend the interview in X+5 months after the approval of I-140. No one can guarantee this time period - it depends on your luck!!! Concurrent processing may take more time. But, you will get EAD/AP soon. If your job is in danger or if your H1 is going to hit the 6-year limit, you can consider concurrent option. I guess you can also avail AC-21 to change employer after 180-days.

Since, it takes 4+ months to get the 140 approved in VT, I am going for Concurrent processing though I opted for CP initially.
