CP New Delhi (Following to Join case)

Folks,

I recently got my GC approved, now I have to apply for my wifes CP by filing the I-824 for Following-To-Joining case.

Here are the questions I had:
- If I file by 824 at VSC to notify New Delhi consulate - how much time do they need.

- Do you have to wait for 824 approval before you can proceed? It seems right now VSC is taking about 1.5 yr to approve 824s!!!

- Can I send the packet 3 directly to the NWD consulate?

- How much time does the NWD consulate need to review and grant an interview dates after they recieved the information?

- When should I expect the interview if I send the Packet 3 to NWD in August'03?

- Does anyone has any experiences with this process esp. at NWD?

- How is CP interview at NWD in general?

i am in the same situatio as you..

i am not sure if your case has been sorted out or not...but I am in teh same exact case as you. Any info on what you found out will help.
