Hello all...
I am from Pakistan. I have stayed in US for almost 5 years first on F1 and then on H1B. There is a special requirement for Pakistani (and almost all Muslim countries) that they have to register on the point of entry or point of exit when entering or exiting US. I did that everytime i went outside of US and came back, except once.
I went to Canada on Car and came back after 3 days. I totally forgot to register while going outside of US. When i came back the Immigration officer told me that i did not register while going out of US. I told him that i forgot about it but he can see that i have always been registering whenever i go out.
So, any way, he asked me never to forget again and allowed me to enter US.
I came back to Pakistan after that. Now i have applied for GC through my employer. My CP interview may be scheduled in October or so. Will i get any issues because of that one time not registering?
