Hi Folks,
I had my CP interview in Feb and I got married after my CP interview. Now my wife\'s CP interview is in June 20. I am still in India. My question is do I need to get employment letter from my Employer? Can some one tell me the list of documents for my wife to take for the interview. Any experience will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Mine was the same case::

Here is what they asked for during my wife\'s interview

1. Employement letter.
2. I134
3. Marriage certificate
4. DS and IRS
5. PCC
6. My Passport ( yes you got it right, mine )

marriage photgraphs and invitation card was not asked for, but
you must have them anyway.

My 2 cents...

The list given above looks OK. I would suggest to add
last three years tax returns to be on safer side.

Technically speaking your wife\'s GC does not depend on
your job status. If you can give affidavit of support
(I134) OR she can have a job offer in USA that is suffcient.

desi007, please make it clear

that if the sponsor\'s(husband\'s in this case) original passport is required. If so, then the sponsor should physically there near the consulate post. I am in the same boat and my wife\'s interview is in May 21st. I am in US right now.

I appreciate your earliest reply.

Thanks in advance

clarification

I was present during her interview, waiting outside.

She was asked if I was in India, my wife said yes.
The consular officer the asked for my passport.

Since you are in USA, I belive she won\'t be asked for it.

Recent Employment letter

Is my recent employment letter required and should it be notarized. I already got one in Jan for my Interview and have one for my wife\'s interview.
Appreciate your help.

Thanks desi007,

MMP,

My CP was done in January too. My wife\'s interview is on May 21st. I got a most recent notorized employment letter from my employer and sent it to her. I think it is required.

Good Luck!!!

How can I get a separate interview dates for my Wife and I?

Hi Guys,

My spouse and I are both on separate H1Bs and are going for CP through my employment. We do not want to appear for the CP interview on the same day(just to make sure that atleast one of us can return back to USA to take care of House etc. in case there is a screw up). Could you tell me how we can manage to get separate interview dates?

I appreciate your input.
