Guys
I have a really oddball question and would really like your help.
I have a consulate processing appointment coming up sometime in the next few months. I'm currently in the UK doing my MBA (which finishes next year in June) and would like to request that the Mumbai consulate accomodate me during my 3 week term-breaks in December or March.
I'm not trying to jump my place in line and move ahead of others. I'm considering asking if the consulate might be able to accommodate my request based on the fact that I'm in the middle of school.
I'm doing this MBA as a one-year leave of absence (with my US employer's consent and approval). Do you have any thoughts on this? My attorney is saying that if we ask the consulate for certain date-windows, the consulate might consider that I've abandoned the application. I find that a bit hard to believe but it wouldn't be the first time I'm surprised by this stuff.
Any ideas or thoughts?
