I just have my 140 approved a week ago and indicated I wanted to go the CP route. Currently waiting for packet 3. Now I\'m gathering information and am getting really paranoid. I\'ve heard that if rejected then you cannot even come back into the US. Anybody who\'ve had experience doing CP through Jakarta please share your experiences. Others please provide info on what percentage is actually rejected through CP route? Is there an appeal process? What happens to your assets(financial, house, cars, etc.)?

I\'m going for CP in Jakarta too.

My I-140 was approved last week too, and I\'m still waiting for NVC to process the Packet3. I\'m trying to find out if the American Consulate accepts AC-140, so that I can minimize the waiting-time.

Let\'s keep in touch. BTW, what EB category are you applying for? Where are you?

I\'m in Austin, Tx. Email me at sjariffu@hotmail.com. Maybe we can exchange phone numbers or just correspond through email. Do you know of any friends or aquaintances who have successfully done CP in Jakarta?

Sjariffu, No I don\'t know any people who have successfully done CP in Jakarta, yet?

But I\'ve been seeing lots of success stories of people who chose CP over AOS.

BTW, my email is bachaf@rocketmail.com

Do you knwo if Jakarta consulate accepts AC-140? Have NVC created you case yet?

Looking at immihelp.com, there\'s a list of Consulates accepting or not accepting AC140. Jakarta is not on the list. So there\'s no definitive answer. My attorney advised me to email the consulate to find out.
I\'m still contemplating whether to go ahead with CP or go with AOS. I want to get process over with ASAP but the CP route seems riskier however minute the risk is. I don\'t know of anyone getting rejected only heard stories of rejections(not through Jakarta though). But you never know with the current times after Sept 11th.

I\'m worried too, but I\'m racing against time here. I don\'t want to wait at least 1 more year to get my GC thru AOS.
I have emailed the consulate to ask about AC-140. I\'ll let know as soon as I hear from them.
