Hey Folks,

My H1 B Visa has expired this April 2002 on my passport from my previous employer.

I have an approved H1 B Visa from my current employer (thru which i am going for the CP interview) till JAN 2003.Unfortunately i did not get this H1 B stamped on my passport.

Is it mandatory to have the H1 B stamped on the passport before the CP interview.

Now since i dont have time to get the H1 B stamped
Will it cause any problems if i dont have the H1 B stamped on my passport ?

Thanks in advance

Regards

h1 expiry

you have a valid h1.
the stamping is not required.
actually, you can go for cp, even for extension applied for.
in your case you already have approval.
no problem.

I suggest you carry your original approval of H1B. Consulates are required to inspect it to verify valid status. Lastly, since you don't have a "visa" make sure you have a transit Visa for the European stopover, while going to India. There was a discussion a few weeks ago on this.
good luck.
