HI,
I have applied for my I-485 in Jul 2004 with my PD in APR 2003 and I-140 Approved in May 2004. I am currently in US but planning to move to india in Feb 2006. I have an offer from a US company which is ready to pay in USD with me as an US employee but working in India. But the salary will be at par with indian salaries and not match the salary i mentioned in my labor. Also my current employer is in East coast and the future one is in west coast.My EAD and AP will expire in July 2006.
Can i go in for CP now with Chennai consulate?
If so what are my options? How wise is it continue my I-485 while working in India.
 
Think logically, if the Green Card holders cannot stay out of the country and work, how can you on a I-485, you will mess everything up. Don't trust lawyers here. Call the legal dept at USCIS and ask them if this is feasable. I tell you no. The only way you can do this is if you were and acquired citizen. Don't mess things up. If you want to go, dot all your eyes and cross your Ts before making a move. All the best.

I know what you are saying. When u say "Dot all your eyes and cross your T's", do u mean abandoning the process altogether or just leaving things with out processing further. pl. clarify.Also what is the number of the USCIs Legal Department and how to reach them? Your help is greatly appreciated.
