CP- Chennai vs Montreal

I had a question on Interview Wait times for CP. If you are a Canadian PR holder you could go to Montreal for the interview or my home country which is India in my case.

1) Where are the wait times longer? I would assume India(Chennai in particular) but how do I find that out on the web?
2) Also is it riskier to take the interview in India or Canada? I guess I was concerned that in Canada they may look at your PR and ask why you were going for the US GC too, since I read somewhere that you cannot legally hold on to two GC. Would it be better in this situation to go India? I plan to be living in Canada during the time of the interview

IMO - Montreal is far more convenient.

The two PR should not be an issue - At the time you are going for the interview you don't have US PR!

The process is fairly efficient in Montreal. Only catch is that you have to submit all originals to NVC while turning in the completed Packet 3. If you don't have all clearances ready then this might add a delay.

Also, if you are living in Canada at the time of the interview, then you can get the name-check based police clearance for the interview in Montreal (as opposed to FP which takes close to 6 months in Canada) I am not sure this will be accepted in India.
