Friends, when my I-140 was filed, I opted for CP. Then my 140 was approved two months ago and my file was sent to NVC by INS (CIS) for CP processing. Then last month I asked my lawyer to file 485 for me. Now I received the case number, D-3032, and immigrant visa fee bill from NVC. It seems NVC is still processing my CP case. Can I still have CP and 485 processing at the same time? Any risk to do that? If I want to stick with CP, do I need to notify INS to stop processing my 485?
