Courtesy Copy - Can we go for Stamping?

Can we go to local INS Office to have a Stamping with a Courtesy Copy (Original sent to Lawyer)?

I do have my Original Approval Notice and for my Wife i have Courtesy copy only.

I have to go to Charleston, SC office for Stamping...

Do i need to Call and get an appointment for Stamping???

Any ideas/suggestions?

Stamping for I-551

Courtesy copy is fine; you should bring all your EADs, APs and your I-94 which you will be required to hand over.
Also your passports and two photographs (as in EAD).
The entire process once you reach the desk is over in 5 minutes; no questions asked since you have the approval on your hand and are already a permanent resident as of the day of your approval.

Appointment

I called the 1-800 # yesterday and asked if I need to have appointment for stamping and they said yes. They gave me confirmation #'s for me and my daughter. If you do make an appointment, ask for appointments for each of the people who is going with you for stamping.
