let me start off by praising this board. ive been reading this forum for about a month now, i its been very helpful.
my case has been pending for 2 years. my interview was last year. the past few times i've went to the local uscis office (los angeles distrcit), they told me there has been an "IP error" associated with my case. im of middle eastern decent with a rahter long and unusual name. now from what i understand, and IP error is when there are some records associated with your name, but i'e never been arrasted, called in for questioning (besides immigration officers); ive lived a clean life. my only brush with the law was a traffic ticket (infraction). now i doubt there is another person with my name and birthday. so what could be the cause of this "indices popular" result? should i be worried if i no i never did anything wrong?
Also, i e-filed for a renewal of my EAD just recently but not after my first one expired. i never worked here in the states (im a young student), but just always wanted to have the EAD on hand in case. i'll be out of school soon so i want to work.My question is, is there going to be a problem since i let my first EAD expire and then renewed it? Also, was e-filing a good i dea since my papers are at the los angeles office and i sent my supporting document to some other state?
