Hello,

Hope you are doing well.

I was born in Paris, France but I have the Greek nationality also so double nationaly: French and Greek.

For the question 5) country where you were born can I put France and then for 6) Country of Eligibility for the DV Program, can I put Greece?

And then put the information of my Greek Passeport?
Because I have better chance to win from Greece than France so I want to apply as Greek.

Thank you very much,

You need to read the instructions. Nationality is not relevant. Country of birth unless you have a Greek spouse who also qualifies, in which case you can cross charge to Greece. By the way your assumption is erroneous as the draw is done by region, not by country, and France and Greece both fall under the same region.

Thanks for the answer. I do not have a Greek spouse who also qualifies.
This is still not very clear for me...
So the importance is the country of birth?
So since I was born in France, I should put France for 5) and 6) put yes (France) and then enter my french passport information?

I thought that there is a quota per country and when I looked at the stats more Greek were selected vs number of people that applied, than France.

Thanks again.

Yes for the first question about selecting France but it does not matter which passport you use, it matters that you select the right country of eligibility.
no, there is not a quota per country, it is per region.
Please read the instructions, they are very clear about eligibility. https://travel.state.gov/content/da...Translations/DV-2023-Instructions-English.pdf

Ok perfect. So just to make sure, the only way for me to apply as Greek was if I was born in Greece or if I had a Greek spouse who also qualifies?
So in my case, I can only apply as French.
Again thank you and have a nice day :)
