country of birth ?? tricky situation

my dad was born in rawalpindi before the partition of india and pak. rawalpindi is now a part of pak. what should his country of birth be on my geographical info form for the 485 . should it be pak or India ??/

If it was before the partition and Rawalpindi was a p[art of India then the birth country should be India don't you think? just my 2 cents!!

I understand your emotions. But you would not like to get issues due to mismatch. That does not makes him any less Indian or that you are not declaring him any less Indian!
