Counting 5 year time period -Important

When N-400 asks to list 5 year residency, employement and education information.

Do I count from the date I file (let us say 5 years minus 90 days) or from 5 the eligibility date.

Example : PR status granted on 01/01/2005

I plan to file 10/01/2009 - 90 days rule. Then do i list the residence, etc from 10/01/2004 OR 01/01/2005 ?[/

If you have been a PR for less than 5 years, list only your residence and employment since becoming a PR.

And be careful about counting the 90 days, because Oct 1 is more than 90 days before Jan 1.

Most people go with the five year eligibility date. In other words starting from LPR approval date forward...
