I tried to check my case status online today at http://www.immigration.com/frame/BCIScasestatonlinefr.html

and received the message below wich seems like BS to me. It's the second time this week that I check it and I'm pretty sure I'm not using the wrong number. I know my WAC number!!

Anyone else seen this before, especially today? Could the site be down?

Thanks!!

"We're sorry, but you have been denied access due to too many inquiries.

The purpose of the Customer Relationship Interface System is to give customers and their representatives access to case status information on their applications in our electronic inventory. To ensure that customers have full access to check on their cases, we use several volume limits.

You received this message because you repeatedly entered invalid receipt numbers.

If you believe the problem may be that you simply repeatedly made mistakes typing in the specific receipt numbers you wish to check, you can close your browser, come right back and try again. If you are blocked when you try again, it is because you either repeated your mistake or because your total volume of inquiries over the past 24 hours has at that point exceeded our overall volume limit, in which case you will be blocked for a period of time."

this message shows up, as it reads, when you have done one too many queries in a day. usually blocks you from checking the status for couple of days.
have you been running any kind of software to scan the status of cases?

Nope, I only check it once or twice a week. I don't use any software. This is weird!

Did you check it in your office?

Your collegue might had already checked online status using some script. BCIS block access by IP. If you checked again in the same office, you were using the same IP as your collegue did. Hence, you had been blocked.

Checking status

Hi guys,

I am checking case status like a 100 times during the day, both from my work and home computer. NEVER experienced any "block-out" because of too many entries. Once I entered a wrong WAC#, and if you keep entering a number that is not found in their database, it will block you down. However, if you exit your internet browser and open it again, that problem goes away immediately.

Also, there was one day that I was entering a right WAC # for an application that was approved, but it couldnt find it. So, first I thought that may be they are cleaning their system by removing case statuses for approved cases, or may be there is some kind of maintenance etc etc. Anyway, I checked back next day, and everything worked fine.

If I would be you, I would wait couple of days, and if it still doesn't work, call 800 number and ask them to check your WAC number (if you are certain that you have it right).

Thanks,
L.

It has been discovered that a lot of adjustees have some kind of sleep disorder where they "wake up" in the middle of the night, go to their computers and involunarily start making inquiry after inquiry about their own case on bcis' website.

If you answer Yes to any of the following questions, you might have the same problem:

1. Do you wake up in the morning felling very tired?
2. Does your index finger hurt as if you were using the mouse too much?
3. Did it happen to you to return computer mice for the reason that they wear and broke too fast?
4. Switch off your monitor. Look somewhere in the top-middle part of the screen. Can you distinguish vague traces of the bcis logo caused by the burn in of the phosphors in the CRT display?
5. When you sit in front of your computer trying to check your application status online have the weird feeling of déjà vu?

In a serious note, when I check my status online, it ALWAYS shows "Case invalid or not available ...". My lawyer recently checked called bcis and they told him that it is not an unusual behavior and they issued a fax inquiry to the CSC to which I am supposed to get an answer in maximum one month.

Whatever ...
