I found this board very helpful. I had a lot of my queries answered during my 140 stage from this website. Now I have a question about 485. We have just filed I485 at VSC. We are planning to visit India in October. We still have our H1/H4 visas valid for another 2 years. But I am not sure when I will get call for FP. Could someone please tell me how long it takes these days to 1) get the receipt 2) get call for FP and 3) is there any other step for which we have to be in the US. My wife was planning to stay in India for 4-6 months. Now I am not sure when she will have to come back. Any feedback will be highly appreciated. Thanks,

You may get reciept in October but foregt about FP. Have fun on ur vacation and do not worry about FP.
Let ur wife stay and once FP notice arrives call her to US. FP notice is scheduled atleast 20 days after u recieve it.
