Hi,

I could not find a proper discussion forum hence I am posting it here.
This is for a friend who is pursuing Canadian PR. He has to get the background check
done from FBI and for this he has to get the Finger Prints taken.
Could somebody tell where to get the FP\'s done.
He went to his police station and they said they don\'t do FP\'s for immigration.
Is there any place else he can get it done, or at the police station what to say.
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

There are several options for your friend to get the FP done. He/she can go to the sherrif\'s office as mentioned earlier or there are several private concerns who are licensed to do FP for immigration purposes. These will be located in and around the area where the local INS office will be. For example, I live in NJ and there are several places like this in Newark close to the INS building.
