Could somebody give me any advice?

My I-140 has been approved (EB-1A), and I will file I-485 soon. Currently my wife is out side US and might not be here next year also, so I will file I-824 for her for following-to-join. Then I have a question: if she can come here latter, can I still file I-485 for her?

Any suggestion is appreciated.
