Could not able to attach a XL sheet

Could to able to attache a XL spread sheet to a post, There is no option of doing, Because it was not defined as a valid file type in the attach file option ????
 
Could not able to attach XL sheet..

Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip

The above options were only mentioned so it is not allowing us to attach a XL spread sheet to a post.... has anybody tried ??????????
