I came to US on H4 visa and then started attending school as a part time student from fall 2005. Then I applied for CoS from H4 to F1 which got approved in March 2006.
I want to go to India in June, I have already booked my tickets too. Office of International Education at my univ. is saying that I cannot take off in the summer and will have to register for classes. They say if I have to go to India I should fly out of this country before summer classes start. If I fail to do so they say that I will be out of status and it will leave a bad remark on my record.
Is anyone aware of some rule(s) that says, I cannot stay in this country till June and then go to India and get my F1 stamped. Please advice.
