COS from H-4 to F-1 - How long will it take?

Hi,

My husband applied for COS from H-4 to F-1 in July 08 at the Vermont Service Center. The processing time frame at VSC for this case type is October 2007; this date did not change from the past 2 months.

My questions are:

How long does it take for Vermont Service Center to process this type of application?
Did any one who applied in this year got their COS to F-1 approved?

Any information on this is greatly appreciated.

I'll really like information about this too. My husband is currently on H4 and is about to apply for a COS to F1 this weekend. We're in New York so I believe his application is being sent to the Vermont Service Center as well.

How long does it usually take for this COS to be processed?

Anyone have an idea?
 
My Husband's F-1 got approved in 2 months from Vermont Center

Hi,

I just wanted to inform that my husband received his F-1 approval today on the 13th of September. He got it in two months after he applied.
