The given name field is incorrect on my wife submitted I-485 application since we put her full name instead of my given name by mistake on the submitted I-485 form. We just received a receipt and have spoken to Immigration officer on the phone twice and got conflicting advices. Below are two options that we can think of to correct the problem.
Option 1: Send a letter and explain the problem and request them to fix the error.
Option 2: Amend I-485. Along with Option 1 send another I-485 with correct given name.
Which option should we take? If we take option 2, what other forms do we send along with amended I-485?
