My U.S. citizen husband needs to submit a copy of his unexpired US passport for the I-130 as proof of his citizenship. I know they require copies of all pages of the passport. Do these copies need to be notarized or certified somehow, or will good quality photocopies suffice?

I just submitted a photocopy of all the pages of my husband passport that were not notarized and that was enough. When I did the application it did not say that they needed to be notarized or certified, if it does not say anything about it just send photocopies. I did not give an RFE so I think normal photocopies are OK.

It will not hurt to notarize the copies. I had mine notarized at my bank and they just certified that they were true with the original. They should not charge you anything to do this.
