Converting VisitorVisa To Dependant

my mom is here on visitor for 6 months. she got a 10 year multiple entry visitor visa. i was trying to get her a dependant visa as she is solely dependant on me an noone to take care of her back home. Is there anyway I can do it. I need some suggestions on this.

If you are a U.S. Citizen, you can submit an application on behalf of your mom for a green card as your immediate relative. Do you want her to remain in the U.S. permanently with you?
 
Unfortunately only spouse and children qualify as dependants.
You will have to have citizenship to sponsor her for GC. If she has a sibling who is a citizen they can sponsor her as well.

One warning dont be tempted to perpetrate a fraud by extending her visa/ bringing her on fake visa etc. She might be stuck for years outside USA if caught.

You brought her here saying that she will be going back to her home country after visiting you. You have mentioned this in multiple places in I-134 and the letter to consulate.

If you are dependant on you, go back with her and take care.

Because of people like you many other valid VISITORS get denial.

assassf .... stop judging!! his mom came on visitor visa but now he wants to consider options to keep her in US long term with him. unfortunately he has no options and she will have to go back before her status expires to prevent future complications. however, he has not committed any fraud. when applying for a visa you need to have a certain intent, however your intent can change at a later time. US consulate issues or denies your visa based on their perception of the applicant's non-immigrant or immigrant intent.

btw assassf would you like to say what was your first visa to US?
 
It is tough nowadays..

Getting visa appointment is tough nowadays. Then 4 out of 10 cases in mumbai gets rejected; Mumbai consulate rejects more visitor visa's than any other Indian consulate. How will they give visa if everyone comes here and doesn't go back.
