conversion os tatus from b2 to h1b while extension of stay is pending

i have applied for etension of stay before the date of expiry of my entry and now i have a job position..they are willing to sponsor h1 visa? what should i do should i apply right away even though i have application pending for extension..... how its gonna effect my current multiple visa....... or just wait for the reply and then apply but i am afraid the opportunity will not last till then.... any advice please ......

It is safer to go through consular processing and wait at home country.
even if HB1 gets approved in case of denial of B1 extension subsiquent COS will be denied as well.
