Conversion of EB3-BEC case to EB2-PERM

Has anyone successfuly converted an RIR EB3 (in backlog) to Perm EB2 case.

The intention is retaining the PD while working(reaplying thru PERM) for same employer.

Since no one replied, can I assume no one tried this process yet?

Hi,

I had applied in PERM on 9/19/5 and mine is a re-file case. Old case was filed in Dec 22nd 2004 in EB2. But after filing PERM it has been 2 months and the status has not changes since. The status says "In Progress". I think due to the fact that they need to find out my old case, it must be taking more time. I had mnetioned my old case number etc, but still it is not moving. I have not heard from any one that they re-file case was approved till now. Hence I am not sure whether I have done the right decision by doing a re-file case.
